Frequently Asked Questions

  • As the reception is directly following the ceremony, we ask you wear black tie to both events. We look forward to seeing you in your dapper outfits!

  • While we love your children, our wedding will be adults only. Thank you for your understanding!

  • If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation. Please feel free to reach out to barrettandlizzy@gmail.com if there is any confusion.

  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 4 PM, so we recommend arriving at 3:45 PM. If there is a wedding prior to our ceremony, the ushers at St. Patrick’s Cathedral will direct you to the appropriate waiting areas.

  • Our wedding will be a Catholic nuptial mass and we will be providing programs to assist with knowing when to sit, stand, or kneel.

    We ask that you silence your phones and leave them in your pockets or purses for the ceremony.

  • Our wish is for everyone, including ourselves, to be truly present in each moment without the distractions of technology, so please no pictures! We trust our professional photographer to capture the beauty and love of our day. If you’d like to take photos, keep an eye out for our polaroid guest book at the reception.

  • Valet Parking will be available for the day at The St. Regis Hotel for around $60. Additionally, New York City has numerous parking garages for those seeking alternative parking options.

  • Given the proximity of the Cathedral to our reception, we will not be providing transportation. Please reach out if you need additional assistance in walking between the two venues and we can find a solution.

  • You’ll have the space to mark any restrictions on your response card. Since the bride is a pescatarian, she understands the desire to have a variety of options. Please also feel free to email us at barrettandlizzy@gmail.com with any concerns.
